Thyssenkrupp Nucera bags Order to Expand Caustic Soda Capacity for Kutch Chemical Industries

Thyssenkrupp nucera AG & Co. KGa will provide a license and supply its own equipment for plans to expand the caustic soda plant for Kutch Chemical Industries in Padan, Gujarat, India.

The current plant has been operating since 2020 and consists of five electrolyzers with its own technology thyssenkrupp nucera BM Single Element. Due to this expansion, capacity will more than double to an additional 670 metric tons of NaOH per day (100%).

Completion and commissioning is scheduled for 2023; the size of the contract is in the lower range of double-digit millions of euros.
