Sumitomo Chemical India Ltd, an Indian arm of Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. announced its consolidated financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended March 31, 2020.
Q4 Results
The agrochemicals manufacturer reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 22.91 crore ($3 million) in Q4 March 2020 as compared to a net loss of Rs 1.12 crore ($0.15 million) in Q4 March 2019.
Net sales during the period rose 5.7% to Rs 445.77 crore ($59 million) led by 5.7% YoY growth from agrochemical segment and 5.8% YoY growth from non agrochemical segment.
Full-Year Results
The company’s consolidated net profit rose 23.5% to Rs 204.69 crore ($27.1 million) as against Rs 165.79 crore ($21.9 million) in the previous financial year.
Consolidated net sales increased by 8.81% to Rs 2,424.75 crore ($321 million) in the year ended March 2020 as against Rs 2228.42 ($295 million) in the year ended March 2019.
