GHCL Ltd. has received the requisite regulatory consent for raising its production capacity of Soda Ash by 100,000 tonnes per annum, the company informed the stock exchanges on Monday.
The specialty chemicals and textiles manufacturer said that it has been granted the requisite regulatory consent amendment for increasing the production capacity of its Soda Ash from 1.1 million tonnes per annum (TPA) to 1.2 million tonnes per annum, as per the consent condition.
GHCL is a leading producer of synthetic soda ash in India. Over the years, it has diversified into yarn and home textile products. Its 1.1 MTPA soda ash plant is in Sutrapada, Gujarat.
The textile division of the company consists of a spinning facility in Madurai with a capacity of approximately 27,000 tonnes.
