Colonial Chemical to inaugurate Saudi specialty surfactants plant

Colonial Chemical, a leading manufacturer of personal care ingredients based in the United States, is set to inaugurate a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia on January 17.

This state-of-the-art plant has been established through the collaborative efforts of Colonial Chemical Middle East Arabia (CCME), a joint venture between Colonial Chemical and its Saudi partners, Sadeem Investments and Earth Reservoir for Oil & Gas.

Focused on catering to the diverse needs of service companies and formulators across various industries, including consumer and personal care, oil and gas, mining, among others, the new facility will specialize in the production of high-quality specialty chemicals and surfactants.

In a statement, the company highlighted the significance of the facility, stating, “The state-of-the-art facility brings manufacturing technologies and capabilities on a large scale, allowing our customers within Saudi Arabia and the region to meet the IKTIVA and Vision 2030 of the country.”

Moreover, the facility aims to serve as a secure sourcing point for the broader Middle East region, leveraging local feedstocks to meet the industry demands effectively.

Chairman David Anderson Sr. expressed enthusiasm about the venture, stating, “We are very excited about the new venture and the very positive response we have had from the market. We look forward to developing the business and making Colonial Chemical ME Arabia a strong contributor to growth in the region.”
