Avaada signs MoU with Uttar Pradesh state for Rs 225 Bn green ammonia plant

Avaada Ventures, an integrated energy platform, has agreed to establish a Rs 225 billion Green Ammonia Plant in Uttar Pradesh by 2026.

On December 6, 2022, Avaada Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The facility will have a production capacity of 0.5 million tonnes per year and will employ 15,000 people directly and indirectly.

Earlier, Avaada signed a Memorandum of Understanding in August 2022 with the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Rajasthan, to establish a Green Ammonia facility and a renewable energy power plant in Kota, Rajasthan.

The plant will be built in the Kota District and will include a Green Ammonia facility with a production capacity of one million tonnes per year. The company proposed a Rs 400 million investment for the Kota Plant, as well as direct and indirect job opportunities for 3,500 people.

The group also received approval from the Government of Karnataka in October 2022 for a Rs 450 billion Green Hydrogen project in Karnataka.
