Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences Limited (NFASL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navin Fluorine International Limited, has announced that it has approved a capital expenditure of Rs 4.5 billion to set up a new hydrofluoric acid (HF) capacity at Dahej.
The new facility will have a capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum, which will be in addition to the existing HF manufacturing plant with a capacity of approximately 20,000 tonnes per annum in Surat.
The expansion project aims to address the growing demand for fluorochemicals in various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and renewable energy. This new investment is a significant step towards meeting the increasing demand for HF, which is widely used in these sectors.
The project will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and debt. The decision to invest in this new capacity demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding its production capabilities and providing high-quality fluorochemicals to its customers.
