Linde India Ltd., an Indian subsidiary of industrial gas manufacturer Linde Plc announced its results for the second quarter ended March 31, 2021.
CY 2021 Q1 Results- QoQ
The company’s net profit grew 434% to Rs 303.23 crores ($41.3 million) for the period ended March 31, 2021 as against net profit of Rs 56.8 crores ($7.7 million) for the previous quarter.
Net sales dropped 7% to Rs 445.57 crores ($60.7 million) during the period ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 477.94 crores ($65.1 million) during the previous quarter.

The company’s net profit increased 677% to Rs 303.23 crores ($41.3 million) for the period ended March 31, 2021 as against net profit of Rs 39.03 crores ($5.3 million) for the the prior-year quarter.
Net sales grew 13.2% to Rs 445.57 crores ($60.7 million) during the period ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 393.79 crores ($53.6 million) during the the prior-year quarter.
“Amid soaring demand for medical oxygen from across the country, Linde India, one of the largest manufacturers of oxygen and other gases in the country, is churning out more oxygen from its plants every day than they were designed for. The company is also converting containers meant for other gases like nitrogen and argon for oxygen transport to ease the logistical crisis as most production facilities are far from demand centres”, its managing director Abhijit Banerjee said.
