India’s DCM Shriram Reports 38.4% YoY Net Profit Growth in Q3FY22

DCM Shriram Ltd., a chloralkali manufacturer based in India announced its results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2021.

Q3 Results- QoQ

The company’s net profit grew 121.4% to Rs 3.49 billion for the period ended December 31, 2021 as against net profit of Rs 1.57 billion for the previous quarter.

Net sales increased 28.1% to Rs 28.16 billion during the period ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 21.98 billion during the previous quarter.

Q3 Results- YoY

The company’s net profit grew 38.4% to Rs 3.49 billion for the period ended December 31, 2021 as against net profit of Rs 2.52 billion during the prior-year quarter.

Net sales increased 29.4% to Rs 28.16 billion during the period ended December 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 21.76 billion during the prior-year quarter.

DCM Shriram Ltd is engaged in the business of manufacture and selling Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Calcium Carbide, PVC resins, PVC Compounds and Cement.

Commenting on the results, Vikram Shriram, vice chairman and managing director said that demand has picked up across segments and stabilised in Q3. “We are seeing strong demand scenario for all our product group. However, there are strong cost pressures as energy prices are up and very volatile.”
