Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals has received approval from board of directors for setting up of an 30,000 TPA Chlorotoluenes Project at Dahej at an estimated cost of Rs 3.5 billion.
This Project, when implemented, within 24 months from the commencement of engineering, would help the Company in consistently fulfilling the needs of its customers for these products and generate an estimated annual revenue of Rs 3 billion at current market rates.
The project cost shall be funded from internal accruals/surplus generated from internal operations and need based gap, if any, shall be met from External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs) or Rupee Term Loans.
The Company’s board of directors approved the same at its meeting on May 24, 2022.
Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals is engaged in business of manufacturing basic chemicals such as sodium cyanide, sodium ferrocyanide, chloromethanes, hydrochloric acid, caustic potash, potassium carbonate, phosphoric acid (85%) and hydrogen peroxide.
