ExxonMobil Chemical appoints McKee as next president

Exxon Mobil Corporation announced that after 38 years of service, John Verity, chairman of ExxonMobil Chemical Company, chose to retire. The board of directors appointed senior vice president of basic chemicals, Karen McKee as ExxonMobil Chemical Company’s next president effective April 1, 2019.

McKee, 52, joined Exxon Chemical Company in the UK in 1990, where she held a range of chemical production and refining assignments.

She was appointed vice president of the Adhesion Industry Global Business Unit in 2007 following roles in Brussels, Belgium and Houston, Texas.

She became operations vice president for Lubricants & Specialties in 2010, and subsequently for Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties based in Fairfax, Virginia. In 2013, McKee was appointed Chairman’s Executive Assistant, based in Irving, Texas, and became Basic Chemicals Vice President in 2014. In 2017, she took on her current position.
