Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured multiple offshore contracts from an overseas client for its hydrocarbon business, with major contracts in the range of Rs 50-70 billion.
The company will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of offshore structures, as well as for upgrading existing facilities.
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon covers the entire hydrocarbon value chain, including oil and gas processing, petroleum refining, chemicals and petrochemicals, and fertilizer sectors. The company plans to nurture local skills and talent, improve procurement from local vendors, and engage with local contractors to sustain its workload and build its regional presence.
L&T is a multinational company that offers integrated design-to-build solutions across the hydrocarbon sector to domestic and international customers. The company has five verticals: Offshore, Onshore, Construction Services, Modular Fabrication, and Advanced Value Engineering & Technology (AdVENT).
As per the company, a mega project is an order worth more than Rs 70 billion, a major project is worth between Rs 50-70 billion, a large project is worth between Rs 25-50 billion, and a significant project is worth Rs 10-25 billion.
