Tata Chemicals Ltd. resume operations at its manufacturing facilities located at Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu as authorities issue lockdown exemptions for manufacturing operations.
The company informed the exchanges on Monday that it is ensuring compliance with the directives issued by the authorities in this regard and is continuing to take various measures to ensure the safety and well-being of all its employees and stakeholders.
In view of various directions issued by the local authorities on exemptions from the lockdown, the company on Monday (11 May) said it has resumed the operations at its manufacturing facilities located at Mambattu-Nellore (Andhra Pradesh), Sriperumbudur (Tamil Nadu) and Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu).
The company’s operations at Mithapur (Gujarat) continues to operate at maximum capacity for Tata Salt and sodium bicarbonate which are essential inputs for food and pharma products and at the levels to match market demand for the production of soda ash and cement.
Tata Chemicals had shut-down the manufacturing operations located at Mambattu-Nellore (Andhra Pradesh), Sriperumbudur (Tamil Nadu) and Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu) since March 25, 2020 in view of the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The company had also scaled down operations for the production of soda ash and cement at Mithapur (Gujarat) facility.
