Tata Chemicals Ltd’s subsidiary Rallis India has transformed its chemical units at Akola and Ankleshwar and has produced and supplied 75,300 liters of hand sanitizer across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Karnataka to meet the increased requirement of hand sanitizer.
Rallis India has also manufactured and supplied more than 1.1 million liters of disinfectant to Gujarat and 480,000 liters to BMC, Maharashtra, in its fight against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The company has also been relentlessly working towards ensuring the safety of the communities in its operational areas. It has distributed relief materials to community members around Ankleshwar and Dahej (Crop Care) in Gujarat and GP Pally and Kokkonda plant (seeds division) in Telangana.
To ensure hygienic practices, the company has planned to distribute sanitizers to communities around the Company’s plant units such as Ankleshwar, Dahej, Lote, Akola and G P Pally & Kokkonda seeds unit.
Furthermore, there has been a dearth of protective face masks which is crucial to contain the spread of the virus. To address this issue, Rallis India, has distributed 4000 face masks to the community around its Dahej unit and an additional 1000 will be supplied to its Lote unit.
