US International Trade Commission to Investigate Dumping of PTFE from India, Russia

The US International Trade Commission (USITC) is looking into claims that granular polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) imports from India and Russia are being sold in the US for less than fair value, that they are subsidized by the Indian and Russian governments, and that they are harming US producers.

“The USITC determined that there is a reasonable indication that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reason of imports of granular polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin from India and Russia that are allegedly subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value,” USITC stated on its website.

Based on USITC findings the U.S. Department of Commerce will continue its investigations of imports of granular polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) resin from India and Russia.

The preliminary countervailing duty determinations are due on or about April 22, 2021, and its preliminary antidumping duty determinations are due on or about July 6, 2021.
